This design is 100% inspired by the 1996 Retro Nuptse, with all the details like the horizontal baffles, boxy shape and slightly cropped length. If you've ever wanted to know what it's like to walk around in a classic of streetwear history, this is it.
The Nuptse has a high stand collar to protect your neck and make a barrier against the cold, and has two hand zip pockets, one on each side of the front zipper, to keep your valuable secure. The black puffy nylon shell keeps a sleek, slimline profile, and the quilting gives it extra volume. The bottom has an adjustable drawcord to help seal in even more warm air.
Layering this over almost anything is a no brainer, and it looks great over a hoodie as well, which is probably a good idea since it is a bit more fashion forward to crop jackets these days. The black on black design allows it to go with just about anything, and the designers were certainly thinking about the consumer when they made it lightweight and packable.
